Campus
Ministry How
we do this...
Reach...We
do this in many ways, with “campus ministry” being
our main focus. We have been able to go into the high schools
and proclaim the Gospel to the students through drama, games
and bible studies.
1)Connect…We
connect the students with other believers by inviting them
to our “weekend program” (North Life).
2)Equip…We
equip them during our “weekend program” by discipleship,
training and motivating them to do evangelistic drama, dance
and any other talent they would want to pursue. Each talent
is harnessed for the purpose of Evangelism.
3) Service…We
do this by organizing a monthly outreach where they can use
their talents to reach out to the community, share the Love
of Christ and proclaim the Gospel.
4) Uplift…We
also create time during our “weekend program”
for the students to show their love to God through prayer,
worship and many other ways.
Ministry
History
North
Life Ministry is both a product and part of a missions sending organization
called Operation 500 and Spirit life Bible College located in Irvine
California. North Life was started in the Philippines (2001) and
is an equipping and discipleship ministry actively involved in the
Great Commission, sharing the Good News of the Gospel with a “new
generation”.
Two and a half years ago North Life began with just a few youth
from a slum area in the City of Davao and has grown to reaching
over6,000 youth a week.
Present
progress of ministry:
There
are 79,892 students in Davao City waiting to hear the Gospel
and at present the opportunities set before us to share
the Gospel in the Philippines are tremendous. All of the
schools…elementary, high school and college…have
opened their doors to the local church to come in and teach
a “Religions Class” once a week. We have been
given “no limits” as to what we can do…so
we go in and preach the Gospel and lead the students in
the Prayer of Salvation and disciple them. The schools have
requested us to put together a curriculum and the staff
and pastors that I work with are wanting me to put this
curriculum together.
In the city of Davao alone there are 58 “high schools”
and 79,892 students. Every Friday we take 15 of our senior
bible college students and staff into a local high school
of 6,010 students and teach the Gospel to every student.
This door is not only open to us in our own city here in
Davao, but in all of the Philippines.
How
can you help?
We
are in desperate need of a vehicle to transport the teachers and
supplies to and from the schools. An additional $1000+ is needed
to make this purchase.
We are also believing for monthly supporters to partner with us
in meeting the monthly needs for teaching supplies and vehicle operation
expenses… $200 dollars a month.
