The United States of America has gone through tremendous turmoil, century after century, and by God’s grace and a strong Church that rose up in revivals, awakenings, and reformations, we have survived. However, today is different from any other time. We are on a collision course toward loss of all freedoms, and the Church is headed for persecution of the worst kind.
Make no mistake, we are at war for our nation founded on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! It is time to take seriously the apostle Paul’s words to pray without ceasing. If you don’t know how to pray, pray in the Spirit. If you don’t pray in tongues, ask God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit and begin doing so. Find someone who does pray in tongues to help you.
Prayer changes things! Isaiah came to Hezekiah when he was sick and said, “You’re going to die.” Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to God, and before Isaiah left the building, God told him to go back and tell Hezekiah He would live fifteen more years. When Peter was in jail and sure to be executed just like James, the church prayed. An angel loosed Peter from his chains, opened the prison doors, and led him out of the jail. Prayer changes things!
We are not without hope, but we must pray!
We also need to repent for being complacent, lazy, and self-serving. In our prosperity, we fell for false doctrines, demonic distractions and divisions, and selfish, sinful habits that kept us from discipling our nation. Now, a dark, evil shadow threatens America. We are in danger of losing our freedom to preach the Gospel and speak the truth of God’s Word.
It’s time to war in intercession, to repent and obey the word of the Lord, so we can preserve the land of the free and the home of the brave and bring in the great harvest of souls.
